Students and Student Organizations can submit events to JumboLife! Add your event by Thursday at 12 noon each week to be discoverable via the Jumbo Digest.

More than 125 employers from a variety of career fields will be present to talk about their open internships, jobs, co-ops and more. Open to ALL majors and class years across Arts and Sciences (including SMFA at Tufts), and Engineering.

Want to make a lasting impact in healthcare, research, or public policy? Join us for the This Is Public Health® (TIPH) Graduate School Fair on Tuesday, September 22, (5:30-7:30 p.m.) at Breed Memorial Hall. Hosted alongside Tufts University School of Medicine, it’s your chance to meet reps from top graduate programs across the country. 

The Office of the Vice Provost for Institutional Inclusive Excellence (OVPIIE), invites all Tufts community members to our annual fall reception. This annual gathering aims to foster connections across the Tufts community and share updates from the OVPIIE team regarding strategy, vision and key priorities for the year.

Join Dr. Giovanni Aloi, author, curator, and scholar of art and the environment, for a thought-provoking conversation about art, gardens, and the politics of nature. Drawing from his books Lawn and Avant-gardeners, Dr. Aloi will explore how lawns reflect ideas about order, control, and extraction—and how artists and gardeners are challenging those ideas through more collaborative and care-centered relationships with the living world. Thursday, September 24 at noon. Lunch provided.

Join us for a conference examining the evolving balance of authority among Congress, the presidency, the courts, and the national security state in the conduct of US foreign policy.

Organized by CEVIHE, Tisch College, and Fletcher, US Foreign Policy and the Separation of Powers will bring together scholars, practitioners, journalists, and current and former government officials for an opening public panel discussion, three expert roundtables, and a fireside chat.

Coming up this week at StAAR! Join us Monday, September 21,12 noon –1p.m. in Tisch Library Room 127 for Reading with Purpose: Strategies for Effective Learning. Participants will learn techniques to increase comprehension, read more efficiently, and take effective notes, as well as organize these materials. Our resources are free and open to all undergraduates. Workshops are held in person on the Medford campus.

Meet Ellie – our new artificial intelligence chatbot! Ellie is a pilot program to see how the chat bot function can enhance your interaction with and access to Student Services.

Ellie’s services are being offered to the Undergraduate and Graduate communities of the Schools of Arts Sciences and Engineering, the SMFA, and the Fletcher School. Ellie has been trained to help you with questions related to Student Records, Registration, Financial Aid, Billing and Residential Life.

The Muslim community gathers every week for Friday congregational prayers. These congregational prayers are an opportunity for the community to get to know one another. Anyone who is interested to learn more is welcome regardless of background. Fridays, 1:15 – 2 p.m., Interfaith Center

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3! Are you ready to make your voice heard? Explore Tisch College’s election resources and tools to register to vote, request an absentee ballot, view state deadlines, sign-up for free localized reminders through TurboVote, learn more about this year’s Massachusetts ballot questions, and more.
