Taylor Jensen
Taylor Jensen Jumps Up to Help PDX Passengers
This compliment came from a thankful passenger after Taylor Jensen (he/him) with SP Plus Corporation came to the rescue with jumper cables and a smile:
"Taylor was wonderful! He came to our rescue when we discovered we had a dead car battery. We called for assistance and were pleasantly surprised when Taylor showed up moments later.
Taylor had a 'can-do' attitude and quickly got our car operational again, much to our relief after a long day of travel. We loved his cheerful attitude which helped to lift our spirits and shifted us from feeling somewhat panicky about the situation.
He was truly a 'parking lot angel.' Thank you so much for this service and please give gold stars to Taylor."

What's New with PDX Next: Ticket Lobby Work and Overhead Protection Installation
Ticket Lobby: From now until Tuesday, May 30, during Monday through Thursday daytime work hours, you’ll see scissor lifts in the north-central ticket lobby while crews work on overhead ducts. As they move around, this may impact some ticket counter queue areas.
Overhead Protection: We previously shared that there will be impacts in the ticket lobby as workers connect the new roof to the existing one. First, they'll install overhead protection to keep everyone safe when demolition occurs. This work starts Monday, May 22, and continues through the end of June during overnight hours, 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. As materials are delivered to the ticket lobby, the two lanes closest to the terminal will be blocked. This will be during late night hours, 11 p.m. to 3 a.m., likely once a week. Overhead protection will also be installed above the north TSA oversize bag drop. This includes erecting towers, a deck, and lighting under the deck and will start Wednesday, May 24. When that work concludes, installs will proceed south and will impact ticket counters.

It’s only mid-May, but we’re already gearing up for Pride in June! Portland Airport Fire and Rescue and Port of Portland Police are currently accepting orders for their 2023 Pride swag. Whether you go for a Fire baseball cap or a Police hoodie, all profits will be donated to a good cause: the Northwest Fire Diversity Council, whose mission is to increase the number of women, people of color and other underrepresented groups working in the fire service, or Out to Protect, which supports LGBTQ professionals interested in pursuing a law enforcement career.
Take a look at both the Portland Airport Fire and Rescue and the Port Police Pride offerings and email Lani Hill (Fire) or Suzette Pump (Police) to place an order.
