Financial Literacy Month, Math and Statistics Month, Upcoming Events, RTSWS Internship and Job Portal and Sponsor Spotlight
Throughout April, organizations nationwide conduct various initiatives designed to raise awareness about the importance of financial education in the United States and the consequences associated with a lack of understanding about personal finances.
Financial Literacy Month originated from Youth Literacy Day, which came into existence through the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE). In April 2004, Financial Literacy Month became recognized in the US by the passing of Senate Resolution 316 with unanimous consent. When was the last time you saw that happen?
Financial Literacy is clearly a topic we can all agree on - it's the great equalizer.

Last week...
RTSWS Partner Engagement Coordinators, Soren and Cami, visited Gallatin High School, (Gallatin, TN) to listen to the RTSWS student cohort go through their latest Spring Mentorship Session. They visited with students and RTSWS volunteers.
Also, Central High School (Newark, New Jersey) visited the R. Seelaus offices for their Wall Street Experience Field Trip. The students enjoyed getting a glimpse into corporate office settings and ended the day with ice cream (peep the sign on the ice cream truck!).
Below are pictures from both events.
