On July 1, 2018, Gary Bennett began his term as Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education. VPUE Gary Bennett succeeds Steve Nowicki, a biology professor who returned to full-time teaching and research this summer. Bennett is a Duke professor of psychology & neuroscience, global health and medicine, who founded the global health major. His research focuses on the use of digital tools to address obesity, especially among underserved populations. A New Jersey native and son of public school educators, Bennett earned a BA from Morehouse College. Duke Family Email Distribution List

We have received several requests to update and/or add email addresses to the Duke Parent and Family email distribution list. Please note that our distribution system pulls email addresses directly from each student's MyDuke contacts page. Unfortunately, the Parent and Family Programs office is unable to update the contact information manually. To add or update an email address, your student must log on to their MyDuke account and add the correct email addresses under their contacts section.

Facebook

To provide the opportunity for parents and families of current Duke students to move through their child’s Duke experience together, we transitioned our Parent and Family Facebook presence so that each class now has its own Facebook group. Thank you for your patience during this process. If you are not yet connected to the appropriate group, please reach out to the Office of Parent and Family Programs (familyprograms@duke.edu) with your student’s class year and we will send you the link to the appropriate Facebook page.
