Kaitlyn Workman
Meet Kaitlyn Workman! She’s a double major in political science and communications, and a Solutions Scholar. "I am a dual major in political science and mass communications with an emphasis in pre-law and a minor in campaign management. This last year, I've interned on local campaigns for the 2018 midterms and worked at the office of Congressman Chris Stewart. I spend my weekends competing for the John R. Park Debate Society, where I placed third in the International Forensics Association Championships in Berlin, Germany for political speaking and became a national semifinalist for debate. I fell in love with political science when I realized that good policy could save more lives than a doctor or a scientist. I want to make our world a better place, and creating thoughtful, deliberate laws is an excellent way to achieve that. I hope to spend the rest of my life studying what laws make people happy and fulfilled, and which ones have unintended negative consequences. I also love elections, and could not be more excited to study campaigns and intern with them. Political science allows me to be analytical, intellectually challenged, dedicated to my work, and genuinely happy."
