Safer sex in the pandemic. Just the tips. COVID-related safety precautions can definitely have a place in the bedroom. Mask, anyone? Here are some steps to ensure a safer, COVID-conscious encounter with your partner.
Three's a (fun) crowd, folks. That is, yourself and two others. We received approval from the County to offer a pilot program that allows students to socialize in small groups (three or fewer), so long as they are outside, wearing face coverings, and observing physical distancing. If we can show that we can socialize safely, we will be able to bring forward another request to increase this number to five. You can start this today!
You better App somebody. Our new testing process is clean, smooth, and has short lines -- just like the UC San Diego Mobile App icon. Download or update your app before heading to the testing site of your choosing for easy QR-code test kit scanning and MyStudentChart integration.
Some students are unclear on requirements. Here's a cheat sheet. To stay in compliance and keep each other safe:

Keep six feet.
Do your darn test, every fortnight.
Cleanliness is key in the classroom. Whether you have classes in-person or remotely, it’s important that you take a couple minutes to clean your workspace (including classroom desks). As always, we learned that we're still learning. This is all new, and it is decidedly not normal. As Tritons in the midst of a cutting-edge, iterative process, we ask that you understand there will always be room for improvement, and hope you continue to share what you’ve learned with us.
ICYMI
Testing ALL Tritons: On- and off-campus students in San Diego, as well as graduate/professional students, are required to undergo regular COVID-19 testing. Don’t forget to schedule your next-day, asymptomatic COVID-19 test every two weeks.
Thank you, Tritons, for everything you continue to do to care for one another.
Sincerely,
Alysson M. Satterlund
