UPDATED - NC DHHS to Distribute PPE Packs to Region F (Charlotte Area)
The NC Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS), in coordination with NC Emergency Management and the National Guard (NCNG), is proactively distributing personal protective equipment (PPE) packs to long-term care facilities across the state. Packs will include an approximately fourteen-day supply of face shields, procedure masks, gloves, and shoe covers.
The distribution points in Region F on Friday May 22 are being changed! Please see the UPDATED fliers for Region F: Mecklenburg, Iredell, Cabarrus, and Lincoln Counties; and Anson, Stanley, Rowan, and Gaston Counties. Please note: Union County is not on the fliers. Union County EM will be delivering to their county’s facilities.
EACH is specific to the region because of the distribution points. (For those not included in this or prior distributions, you can expect to receive a notice such as these specific to your own location/region.) You must follow the link in the relevant document to Confirm Your Pick-Up!
Be on the lookout for the announcement of the next regions to recieve the PPE packs.
The NC DHHS team will set up PPE distribution centers and provide communication and coordination with facilities with the help of the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program, North Carolina Healthcare Facilities Association, North Carolina Assisted Living Association, and NC Senior Living Association. Distribution locations will be provided through the Methodist Churches of North Carolina as needed.
All administrators should closely monitor their email for detailed information on when/where to pick up their supplies. We will do our best to provide as much information up front as possible, but there will likely be a short notice (around 24 hours) provided, based on the situation.
