Our teachers and mentors provide LINK students with essential skills and necessary knowledge of resources to help guide them through their graduation and beyond. Too often play is set in direct opposition to work, when in reality, play is the engine of learning for children. Join Kristine Mraz, the co-author of Purposeful Play: A Teacher’s Guide to Igniting Deep and Joyful Learning Across the Day, for a workshop outlining the ways play can be infused within a day, as well as the instructional strategies teachers can utilize to support children's learning at this valuable time.
The Purposeful Play Workshop is an opportunity for ALL educators and administrators serving children ages birth to age 8, to come together to explore how to facilitate meaningful play in their classrooms.
All participants will leave the workshop with a FREE "loose parts" kit!

This course will help teachers, paraeducators, and school staff working with visually impaired students by equipping them with easy strategies to prepare for a successful year. This course will highlight sample lesson plans, common adaptations, and how to prepare and collaborate with the help of your Teacher for Vision Impaired students (TVI) team on all accommodations. Our goal is to increase your confidence in working with visually impaired students.
Students that wear glasses do not always qualify! Educators will also gain an understanding of vision diagnoses and who might qualify for vision services. This is an experiential course, so participants should be prepared for hands-on experience to better understand how to support and cue visually impaired students.
Lunch will be provided.
