University responds to the Russia-Ukraine conflict

As a member of the Association of American Universities (AAU), the University is sharing a statement from the organization asking Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to provide swift action to offer temporary exceptions to visa rules and other accommodations to those affected by the war. In response to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, a University crowdfunding effort was launched to address the immediate needs of students and visiting scholars affected by this. Conyers has spent her life and career providing preventative care, leading conversations around equity, diversity, and inclusion, and addressing the social determinants of health. Through the University’s new Honor our Nurses campaign, you can go online to leave a special thank you message for a nurse who has made a difference in your life. Donations can also be made to a special fund that will support continuing education for University of Rochester Medical Center and affiliate nurses, as well as School of Nursing students.
