Academic Transcripts

All new graduate students must have a final official transcript (original language and literal English language translation) submitted to Miami University's Graduate School from all institutions beginning with your bachelor's degree. Graduate Assistantship

If you were awarded a graduate assistantship from your department, you must log-in and complete the acceptance form. During international orientation, graduate assistants will be required to go to the Academic Personnel office and complete the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification Form. Failing to accept your graduate assistantship offer or complete your I-9 form may result in your assistantship being withdrawn. If you have any questions about your graduate assistantship duties and responsibilities, please contact your graduate department.

Student Employment

Miami significantly values student workers and commits to employing students. Working on campus not only provides income but also cultivates responsibility, enhances time management skills, and offers a learning opportunity. There are student jobs available in dining halls, the campus store, library, Rec Center, etc.
Finding a job on campus requires a series of procedures (such as submitting your resume and cover letter), depending on the position. Check out the Student Employment website for more information.

Note: If you have a full graduate assistantship, you will not be eligible for any additional on-campus employment.

According to John, “Miami University has impacted my life in many ways. I met new people who became friends and we explored Oxford and Ohio together. Above all, my M.A. in Political Science has opened new career opportunities because of the writing and analytical skills that I acquired during my time at Miami University. These are the skills that I use every day at my workplace, and they will continue to be crucial in my career." John works as a research associate at the Institute of Public Opinion and Research (IPOR) in Zomba, Malawi.

Tasneem Amatullah
Tasneem Amatullah, Ph.D, from Chennai, India, graduated from Qatar University’s Educational Leadership Master’s program in 2014 and joined the Educational Leadership doctoral program at Miami University immediately after that. Four years later, Tasneem graduated with her Ph.D in 2018.
