| We are delighted to honor outstanding OD practitioners with our 2017 OD Network Awards. The OD Network Lifetime Achievement Award is given to those who have served the profession over an extended period of time, have earned the respect and admiration of professional colleagues and have freely engaged not only contemporaries, but also have been committed to maintaining a dynamic connection to all generations of OD practitioners.

David Cooperrider is the Distinguished University Professor and holds the Fairmount Santrol - David L. Cooperrider Professorship in Appreciative Inquiry at the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, where he is the faculty founder of the Fowler Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit. David is also the Honorary Chairman of Champlain College’s David L. Cooperrider Center for Appreciative Inquiry at the Robert P. Stiller School of Business. He has published 25 books and over 100 articles and book chapters.

Peter Sorensen is professor and Director of the Master of Science in Management and Organization Behavior (MSMOB) program as well as the Doctor of Philosophy in Organization Development program at Benedictine University. A pioneer in the OD field, he helped establish Benedictine's MSMOB program, one of the first master's level organization development programs in the world. Sorensen was an invited, distinguished scholar to the first Academy of Management Conference on Global Change and has received numerous awards. He is the author of more than 200 articles, papers and books.

Robert J. Marshak is honored for the Outstanding Article in OD Practitioner: “Anxiety and Change in Contemporary Organization Development (vol. 48, no. 1, 11-19). Bob has educated thousands of participants in the theories and practices of organizational development at universities and institutes around the world. He has also consulted for more than 40 years with executives about organizational change. His contributions to the field of organization development have been recognized by numerous awards including the Organization Development Network’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000. Bob is known for his pioneering work on dialogic organization development, covert processes in organizational change, East Asian change philosophy, and the use of metaphors and symbolic meaning in organizational change.

| Conference Attendees Will Be the First to Use the New OD Practice Framework Self-Assessment

| The OD Network's Practitioner Self-Assessment development is well underway. Conference attendees will be some of the first to lay eyes on it, test it for themselves and offer valuable feedback to further improve the product! Member volunteers will be on hand at the conference to showcase the assessment and guide participants through the process, which will map their skills gaps to conference sessions that can help grow their knowledge and expertise. In the future, this assessment will provide a robust listing of suggested readings, webinars, and live events that can help them advance their skill set.
