Glad you’re back! The campus is so quiet when you are gone, but the galloping bullies had a wonderful time streaking across the mall. Well, the seventh-inning stretch is over and now the remainder of the year will feel like 6 = 6^3 = 216x c.

Many thanks and a tip of the fork goes to the Food Committee. They made their way through a solid week of tastings and we are now negotiating with the vendors to make the best food choice for all of you. I have to admit the tastings were a lot of fun and I loved meeting more of you as we bonded over cupcakes.

Our Board of Visitors will be here this week–the first time in person in two years!. Students, you are preparing for the Research and Creative Works Symposium that’s less than a month away, and we can’t forget all the plays, recitals, athletic events, papers, and capstones still to come!

I’m looking forward to all these campus moments, and then there’s our last commencement off campus with all your friends and family there to celebrate (we have 16,000 seats to fill so let's get busy).

Happening on Campus

As always, there are a ton of fun events happening on campus this week. Join Mosaic for a ping pong tournament this Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Bishops Lounge. Prom, anyone? Yes, you read that right: Student Activities, Pirates for Pride, and Student Government are hosting SU Prom Friday night. Come dressed to impress and get ready to dance the night away! On Saturday, we are asking all sophomores to join us for Sophomore Day at the Ballpark. Be one of the first 50 sophomores to RSVP and you will receive a free T-shirt at the event.

Important Updates from Information Technology

Make sure you are checking (and reading) your email during the month of March. You have received important directions from our IT team on how to add multi-factor authentication (MFA) to your SU services (like your email). By the end of March, every member of the SU community will be required to have MFA set up.
