As the Chief Innovation Officer for Learning Undefeated, Jennifer Colvin is a thought leader in the innovative delivery of STEM education. Learning Undefeated provides life-changing STEM experiences for high needs communities by providing equitable access to education and inspiring students to imagine their own success.

Forensic scientist Kelly Knight is a professor at George Mason University with a passion for STEM outreach. In addition to mentoring undergraduate students in forensic science, Prof. Knight has planned and implemented hundreds of activities and events for the K-12 population – with an emphasis on reaching underrepresented students.

Maynard Okereke, aka the Hip Hop M.D., uses pop culture to make STEM fun. He has a degree in civil engineering and a curiosity for new innovation. Maynard inspires minorities and youth by bridging the gap between music, entertainment, & science – encouraging more diverse involvement in the S.T.E.M. fields.

We are coming back IN-PERSON and are excited to bring our popular X-STEM program to San Diego! 

X-STEM San Diego is a conference for middle through high school students designed to empower and inspire kids about careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Attendees will be inspired by presentations from leading STEM role models, participate in Q&A sessions, learn by doing in hands-on workshops, interact with students from all over the county, and have fun while learning about exciting career opportunities in STEM!

Who?: Middle and High School Students in grades 6-12

What?: Free in-person conference featuring presentations and hands-on workshops given by STEM role models

When?: Tuesday, April 19, 2022, 9:30am to 2pm, at the San Diego Convention Center
