NEW: Oregon Outback Dark Sky Sanctuary Website
|
We’re thrilled to announce that the Oregon Outback International Dark Sky Sanctuary now has its own dedicated website! A valuable new tool for industry partners and those looking to learn more about the sanctuary. This stand-alone platform provides a centralized hub for information about the sanctuary, helping tourism professionals, land managers, and community partners share its significance and the visitor experience it offers. The site also strengthens our collective ability to educate travelers about responsible nighttime recreation and the importance of reducing light pollution, with clear resources that explain why dark-sky preservation matters.
We encourage partners to explore the new website and use it as a go-to reference when promoting, interpreting, or supporting dark-sky stewardship across the region.

Travel Oregon has created a statewide map resource to help connect visitors to dark sky experiences across the state. The map is now available in both digital and 17x11" tear-off pad formats. This resource was created in response to frontline staff asking for a tangible and actionable piece that helps visitors understand how to engage in this activity. The digital map can be accessed here.
To recieve printed copies of the tear pads call (800-547-7842) or email (info@traveloregon.com) Source Logistics for fulfillment. Reference ‘Dark Sky tear off maps”
