Submit Legislation for the 2023 National Tournament Docket!
Debate the topics you are passionate about—if you wrote it, you can submit it! Any high school NSDA member student, regardless of their national qualification status, may directly submit legislation to be considered for the 2023 National Tournament Docket! You can even submit multiple pieces of legislation for consideration. If your legislation is selected to be part of the Nationals Docket, you will be recognized in Rostrum, receive a trophy after the tournament, and be awarded a $100 scholarship. This is a great way to boost your resume and be recognized for your research and writing skills! Submission are due by February 5, 2023 »

Second Annual NSDA Last-Chance Qualifier Returns April 27-29
As you’re prepping for your district tournament, remember–you can also compete in the NSDA Last-Chance Qualifier for a spot at Nationals. All main events are being offered. Your school can enter up to four students in each event (up to six in Big Questions), and participation is FREE. The NSDA Last-Chance Qualifier is an opportunity for students who do not qualify through their district tournament to have a chance to attend the 2023 National Tournament. The Springboard Series is a great online practice opportunity! There are four free, after-school practice sessions per month in January, February, and March—no NSDA membership required! Register Now for this Online Opportunity in May
We are excited to announce the inaugural Digital Speech & Debate e-Championship! This is a collaborative venture between the Tournament of Champions and the National Speech & Debate Association to provide an accessible, cost-effective online championship opportunity for students in grades 6-12. The online tournament is held May 6-8, 2023, and is presented by the TOC and NSDA with support from the NAUDL, NCFL, NIETOC, and NFHS. Recommend your coach or administrator to your NSDA district to be nominated for a prestigious award, presented at the 2023 National Tournament. Awards include:
District deadlines vary, so be sure to check with your local leadership about when nominations are due. District chairs must report district winners to us by April 16, 2023, for national award consideration!
