Dear Families of the Class of 2027, |
What a great few days we’ve had welcoming our newest class to Denison! We know these first goodbyes can be bittersweet, so we wanted to check in to see how you’re doing — and share a few resources that should help make this transition (a little) easier.
First, let’s see what your students have been up to since they ascended The Hill.

Thursday was one of our favorite days to be Denisonians. While the weather could have been a bit more cooperative, we still got to greet the new class — and help lug their Squishmallows, shower caddies, and mini refrigerators to their new homes. We’re a bit sentimental, so we took a lot of pictures.

On Thursday night, President Weinberg formally inducted the new class and set the tone for the rigorous academic experience that awaits them.
First-year students also got to hear a piece of music composed just for them by associate professor of music HyeKyung Lee. They’ll hear it again in just four short years, at their 2027 Commencement. (It’ll be here before you know it.)
