Community Schools, such as NOCA, operate on nearly 1/2 the funding as a traditional public school in our area. While NOCA has made great strides to be good stewards of public funding, we rely on parents to help offset the funding gaps in creative ways.
Two NO COST ways YOU CAN HELP are:
1) Volunteer- our school would not be where it is today without the countless volunteer hours from parents like you. Click HERE to complete our volunteer questionnaire.
2) Complete Household Income Form- a portion of state funding is based on social economic need that is assessed annually. Having completed forms from every family has the potential to grant NOCA access to more funding which in turn helps your students. Update your 2022/2023 form today!

Basketball: The inaugural basketball season for the High School team has come to an end. The team won 2 games and battled hard in every contest. The future is bright for Spartan's basketball as they head into the offseason with a goal of continuing to improve. Junior High boy's basketball is rolling along and looks to finish their season strong with two games left in February. Grades 3-6 boys are playing in the TAACYL this year and that season is under way with both teams already achieving their first wins of the young season!
Swim: The lady Aqua Spartans swam their way to a 3rd place finish at the Toledo invite, beating Central and Whitmer. Leading the team in points scored was Meaghan Desmond who won the 100 yard backstroke dropping 4.68 seconds for a season personal best.
Samuel Ferradino led the boys team with a 3rd place finish in the 100 breast dropping 1.56 seconds for a seasonal best time as well.
Congratulations on a great season to all of our Spartan Swimmers!
Wrestling: Wrestling started with the new year. We have 10+ boys in grades 3 and up learning core skills this year. They are focusing on proper wrestling techniques and discipline.
Special thanks to all the parents & staff who volunteer to coach our Spartans!

Special thanks to the families who have supported the PTO this year through its various volunteer opportunities, fundraisers and dine-outs. Because of your generosity, the NOCA PTO have been able to bless the teachers and students in many ways this school year.
We have had team of parents diligently working to further develop our library so that students can take advantage of the over 5,000 books on our shelves in years to come. In January, the PTO was able to purchase some much needed supplies for our growing Music Department.
*The PTO will email an RSVP for the Urban Air Spirit Day later this month.
