Following what I trust was a busy and successful 2023-2024 academic year, I hope that each of you is enjoying the summer months. For some, this is a time for renewal and reflection, while for others it is an opportunity to continue in their coursework. If you are taking classes with us during one of our Summer Sessions, I hope you are finding those courses to be rewarding and aligned with your educational and personal goals.
For those who have not done so already, please be sure that you register for the Fall 2024 semester as soon as possible. Doing so will help you land the classes you want and need, while also helping you to avoid late fees and plan accordingly for your studies. I encourage you to reach out to your academic School or College if you have specific program or class questions, wish to discuss your course selections, are in need of a PIN for registration, or have any other issue you wish to discuss related to your return to campus this fall.
In addition, please always remember that the Office of Graduate Affairs is here to help with any questions that you may have. We can be reached at shugrad@shu.edu.
Sincerely,
Christopher Cuccia, Ed.D.
Associate Provost for Academic and Graduate Affairs

So Many Ways to Utilize the Career Center
Your Career Center had its "Get Hired!" Boot Camp on June 12. This small Career Fair was opened to recently graduated students from both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Along with employers visiting the campus to speak with students, the Boot Camp also had speakers come and give tips on interviews, resume building, networking, establishing your brand on LinkedIn and more.
As we gear for the Fall semester, we encourage students to get in contact with their career advisors this summer and give themselves a head start. Whether that's getting tips on your own Handshake or LinkedIn accounts, learning about internship/job opportunities, or any general questions for the upcoming semester, your Career Center is here for you!
Email your career advisor or give the office a call at (973) 761-9355 to make an appointment.
