A lot of progress has been made within GWPD, but we are working towards accomplishing so much more to be able to serve this community in the best way possible. Community policing, and policing in general, is work that is always in progress. To continue to move forward, we must work together. We are here to listen to any feedback, comments, and concerns. GWPD is here to be a resource to our community.
This is your police department. We are here to serve you. We promise to uphold our values of accountability, transparency, and trust. I look forward to continuing to build community with everyone at GW this year.

GWPD hosted Raise High with GWPD at University Yard on September 15th, 2022, a community outreach event with a DJ, food, a 360 photo booth, an inflatable obstacle course, and fun!
Community building is essential because it builds trust, improves community interactions, and promotes a shared responsibility for keeping our campus safe.
Raise High with GWPD promoted community-building between students and GWPD through community engagement, partnerships, and camaraderie. GWPD wanted to create a space for the GW community to engage with GWPD in a non-law enforcement capacity. The collaborative effort of community policing was on full display, as members of student organizations such as BSU stood alongside our officers, greeting everyone at the event. GWPD hopes this collaboration continues to grow throughout this year.

Scammers use various means to scam their victims, such as email, phone, mail, and even social media. As is true anywhere, there are people who attempt to take advantage of GW students, but with a little knowledge, you can learn how to identify a scam/fraud and avoid falling victim to their fraud.
