NYU One Day: NYU Shanghai Alumni Gatherings in Shenzhen and Shanghai
NYU Shanghai alumni gathered in Shenzhen and Shanghai to commemorate NYU One Day, the global day of giving across the NYU network. In Shenzhen, alumni came together to reconnect and contribute to the NYU One Day initiative. Meanwhile, in Shanghai, alumni attended a campus event featuring discussions led by world-renowned AI scientists and researchers, exploring the potential of AI to solve complex challenges. At an exclusive networking session following the talks, alumni had enjoyed the opportunity to connect and exchange ideas.

2013 Fund: Fund an NYU Shanghai Dream
From March 26 to 28, the 2013 Fund Student Committee invited community members to contribute to the 2013 Fund while engaging in interactive activities such as Spin the Wheel for a chance to win prizes and cute NYU Shanghai swag. The event garnered enthusiastic support from students while furthering the goal of assisting incoming freshmen in realizing their NYU Shanghai dream.

- On March 4, Schwarzman Scholars Sandy Xu Jingzhi ’22, Owen Zhang Junan ’20, Harry Wang Zixin ’20, and incoming Schwarzman Scholar Li Peirong ’24 joined the Class of 2025-2026 Schwarzman Scholars admissions info session to share their application and study experiences. This panel was held by Center of Career Development as part of the 2024 I AM LIMITLESS Conference.
- Congratulations to NYU Shanghai alum Su Han ’18, founder of Privoce, Inc., who was listed on the “Top Under 30 Chinese-American Youth Elite List” (AACYF Top U30) for 2024. The list, which focuses on the younger generation of Chinese-Americans, students studying abroad, and the “returnee” community, was unveiled in Los Angeles on March 19 after a three-month selection process.

Alumni Voices: Amy DeCillis ’20
Amy DeCillis '20 says she has learned how important teamwork is, whether on the field, in the classroom, or in the workplace. While at NYU Shanghai, she was a star soccer player, and the lessons she learned on the team have stayed with her. Now DeCillis has moved onto a bigger pitch, working for the Football Association of Ireland in Dublin.

Michael Zhong ’21: “I have been working at J.P. Morgan since graduation, where I support corporate and investment banking operations and focus on digitization and automation.”
Kayla Liu ’21: “Since graduation, I have been working in Investor Relations at a private equity firm in Shanghai, where I provide internal and external clients with many products and services.”
Beca Zhang ’23: “I found myself having a strong passion for the nonprofit world, so I decided to pursue a Master of Science degree in Nonprofit Leadership at the University of Pennsylvania. For the past year, I practiced as a grant writer and fundraiser, providing consulting for different nonprofit organizations and programs. I love to help and see the organizations thrive and impact the society I care about.”
Michelle Su Le ’23: “After graduating from NYU CAS, I am currently studying organization management and strategy at NYU Stern and NYUSH. I have been really enjoying my time back in Shanghai, where I previously did my study away.”
Kevin Zhao ’23: “I am currently a master's student at the University of Hong Kong and will be joining PwC after graduation. I hope to develop critical financial skills and obtain different certifications in the next few years.”

In March, Zhao Jinyu ’19 captured this moment with Ni Yibin ’19 beneath a cherry blossom tree on the University of Washington campus in Seattle. Jinyu is now working at eBay, Inc. as an Applied Researcher, while Yibin is at Arizona State University (ASU) advancing her studies with a PhD in Quantitative Psychology.
