3-Minute Thesis Competition |
The 3MT® competition provides a unique opportunity to share your work with the broader community in a fun and exciting format. The 3MT® competition allows graduate students to present their research in just 3 minutes with the aid of a single slide.
The winner of GVSU’s 3MT® receives a cash prize as well full funding to represent GVSU at the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) 3MT® competition in early April. Awards are as follows:

- First Place: $500 cash prize
- Second Place: $250 cash prize
- Third Place: $100 cash prize
- People's Choice: Swag bag

King-Chavez-Parks Future Faculty Fellowship |
This state-funded fellowship can provide eligible, qualified students with up to $20,000 for graduate study and $35,000 for doctoral study to pursue a faculty teaching career.

The Rotary Club of Grand Rapids Charities Foundation is pleased to announce the 2026 DeVos Scholarship, in the amount of $25,000.
Eligibility: Scholarship to support a Michigan resident with tuition and related expenses for Masters level, Doctoral level, or advanced research pursuits at an accredited public or private college or university in Michigan. Students are encouraged to apply and send the completed application to by April 15, 2026.
