Cal Expo has announced that it has postponed events and modified certain operations through the end of March.
According to Cal Expo’s CEO Rick Pickering, “We remain in a constant state of assessment and will continue to enhance our protection and educational efforts to promote safe conditions for our staff and for future guests as conditions improve.”
Following the advice of state leaders, as well as guidance from the California Department of Public Health, the following immediate actions have been taken by Cal Expo:
- Larger events have been postponed through the end of March.
- Cal Expo’s website will provide continuous calendar updates of events that have been postponed to new dates at CalExpo.com.
- Harness racing will continue on Friday and Saturday nights, but only licensed personnel will be allowed into the facility. The Miller Lite Racetrack Grandstands will not be open to the public through the end of March.
- Satellite Wagering is closed to the general public through the end of March.
- The Boat & RV Show is cancelled for the weekend.
- General state business will continue at Cal Expo as we continue to prepare to present the annual CA State Fair July 17-August 2.
