The Office for Faculty Advancement and University Communications and Marketing will co-sponsor a workshop to support faculty as they engage with the media to amplify their work and share their perspectives. During the workshop, MarComms will provide faculty with practical tools and support as they develop strategies to use their voice in the public arena. Participants will learn effective practices as they navigate media invitations and initiate op-eds, interviews and other forms of public engagement. Participants will also hear from faculty colleagues who have successfully navigated media engagements and share valuable lessons learned.

The Duke Faculty Academy Capstone: The Impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence on the Faculty Experience |

In its inaugural year, the Duke Faculty Academy brought together eight faculty across disciplines to discuss the many ways generative AI impacts different aspects of the faculty experience. At the capstone event, the cohort will share what they learned and invite all members of the Duke community to join them in discussion about the wide-ranging implications of generative AI use. The cohort will also announce new resources that will be available to faculty in the coming year.

Summer Coaching Opportunities

Maria Wisdom will offer a special summer group coaching series for regular-rank, full-time Duke faculty from May through July, with a particular emphasis on the themes of navigating complexity and cultivating resilience. (Read more on faculty coaching.)
