Women's History Month: Learning From Each Other |
Meet Hilda Vazquez, Manager of Transportation at Northstar in California. After 26 years in the snowsports industry, Hilda shares what she has learned along the way and advice for other women growing their careers in our industry. Hilda says, “As a female leader, I’ve learned to embrace the uniqueness of my perspective and trust my gut when making decisions. My advice for women in the industry is to just go for it and not settle for just any job you can get. Forget about whatever it is that holds you back or makes you think that you aren’t qualified. Facing doubt and resistance when sharing new ideas with the team are obstacles I’ve experienced in my role. I reassure myself that my ideas are grounded in experience and encourage the team to give them a shot. When we build confidence in the team, then our ideas can be better received in the future.”
For Women’s History and Gender Equality Month, we celebrate the leadership of the women at our company and look ahead to the work that still needs to be done. Read an update from the Women and Allies Employee Resource Group (ERG) from International Women’s Day to hear how we are continuing this journey together.

Wellness During the Change In Seasons |
As this winter season starts to come to a close, it’s normal to be tired. If you’re feeling a sense of fatigue, take a few minutes for self-reflection. Looking back on what we’ve accomplished can show us how much we’ve grown and help us feel grateful and restored. Our peers are also here – we can reach out to the community we’ve developed in our work this season and draw on each other for strength and support. Mental health resources are available too through Epic Wellness, and you can use them both now and when your season is done. Check out Wellness During the Shoulder Season to learn how you can keep accessing free confidential counseling and other resources while on SIS or for up to three months after you leave Vail Resorts. I'm a new paragraph block.
