Help Support The Arc

This is no April Fool's joke, shop Giant Food during the month of April and help support our mission!  We have been selected by Giant Food's Community Bag Program to receive a $1 donation for every $2.50 Community Bag sold at the 12501 Rockville Pike location.
Whether you're shopping for Wednesday lunch or a special dinner, bring those items home in a reusable bag and help support our mission to help people we support build inclusive and fulfilling lives.  Psst...it's good for the environment too!

Wait Lists for Disability Services to End?

Good news is on the horizon for anyone who has had to endure on a waitlist to receive disability services.  Lawmakers in the House and Senate recently introduced a bill that would make home and community-based services a mandatory Medicaid benefit.
Backers of the bill, known as HCBS Access Act, say it would eliminate long wait lists by increasing funding to programs, giving grants to states to increase their services, and by building the workforce of caregivers to support people with disabilities.
