Resources and offerings shared in the webinar:
The
Wellness Exchange is your student's greatest mental health resource at NYU. Students can call the 24-hour hotline at (212) 443-9999, chat via the Wellness Exchange app anytime, make an appointment, or arrange a same-day Urgent Counseling session to speak with a certified counselor about any day-to-day challenges or health concerns. As a parent or family member, you can also call the hotline for guidance on supporting your student's mental health.
Counseling and Wellness Services (CWS) can help with any mental health concerns students might experience, including stress, anxiety, alcohol or drugs, eating, depression, family issues, suicidal thoughts, and more.
Student Health Center offers medical, counseling, health promotion, and pharmacy services and provide accessibility accommodations to students with disabilities. All matriculated students in a degree-granting program have access to the SHC, regardless of insurance.
Wellness Workshops are free and confidential classes held via Zoom throughout the semester on a variety of topics — including insomnia, public speaking, anxiety, biofeedback, and more.
