Cyber diplomacy
Nathaniel C. Fick, U.S. ambassador at large for cyberspace and digital policy, recently stopped by campus as part of a multiday visit in collaboration with Tulsa Innovation Labs to talk about cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. During a Q&A with the director of TU's School of Cyber Studies, Fick explained why work in the cybersecurity field is timely and crucial and how Tulsa is emerging as a national cyber hub. “Keep doing what you’re doing, because obviously it’s working,” he said.

Things that go bump
More than 75% of the 2.8 million traumatic brain injuries diagnosed each year in the United States are concussions, while millions more go undiagnosed. That’s why TU's Oxley College of Health & Natural Sciences created the Concussion Center in a ground-breaking attempt to educate and rehabilitate patients suffering from concussions. The free service is a national model that benefits the community surrounding the university.

Entre-brew-neurial
The University of Tulsa's Collins College of Business just opened a shiny new entrepreneurial hub with a caffeine kick on the first floor of Helmerich Hall. Goldie’s Grounds Powered by Williams will allow students to sell handmade goods, practice their marketing skills and support each other along the academic journey. The space, designed by students and funded by Williams, also offers another critical feature: free local java from She Brews Coffee House.
