Southtowne Food Box Programs Makes Local News...AGAIN!
Once again, our Food Box program was featured on news reports on both KMTR and KVAL! While the first report focused on the Cow Creek grant our club received, this report was longer, and featured a couple of our recipients.
Longtime recipient and community volunteer Vickianne Kelly, spoke about how valuable the variety is to her family, while Yadira Flores spoke about the importance of supporting our bi-lingual community.

DGEs In Action at Regional Training Session
"Your District 5110 leaders undergo extensive training and development to better serve you. This commitment is significant, but the rewards are even greater. The DGEs from across the Big West, ranging from Colorado to Hawaii. Beyond the training, the relationships and support network we’ve built will be invaluable throughout our terms as District Governors.
Rotary International President Elect Mario Cesar Martins de Camargo delivered an impactful keynote address on Saturday night. Completing my Governor training and participating in the Gala, including walking the red carpet with my classmates, was an exhilarating experience – just like the thrill of hang gliding.
I ran into RI President-Elect Mario as we both waited for our departures from the Spokane Airport. I had the opportunity to chat with him for 20 minutes about growing Rotarians and our ability to serve. We talked about flexible club models – satellites and cause-based clubs. He asked me to send him information about the Springs Satellite, because he intends to share success stories at the International Assembly. It will be cool to hear our story there!
I intend to put my all into serving you next year, because I know…we haven’t peaked yet!"
~ Chris Waugh
