Wendolyn Martinez supported the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration’s Office of International Nuclear Security's execution of the European Regional Nuclear Newcomers Technical Exchange hosted in Romania. The event focused on bilateral conversations and collaborative engagement between European Nuclear Newcomers concerning critical topics in Nuclear Security for newcomer countries.

Nathan Peterson was awarded the 2023 Student Veteran Excellence Award for his outstanding service and support to the campus and community in his role as Veteran Graduate Student Worker at the RELLIS Academic Alliance. The Texas A&M University System Student Veteran Excellence Award is given annually to a student veteran who serves as an advocate for student veterans or veteran issues. The recipient must be nominated through the veteran services office with one letter of support.

So-Min Cheong is now the specialty chief editor for the section entitled Climate Action in the journal Frontiers in Climate. It is a new section to be launched in October. Frontiers in Climate is one of the newest journals from this publisher. Frontiers is the 6th largest publisher and the 3rd most cited publisher.
