How CCG is streamlining administration and featured grantees
Community Challenge Grants has focused on strengthening our administrative systems and building our team while we took a thoughtful approach in preparation of our FY25 Request for Proposals release. Here are some of our accomplishments so far this year.

North of Market Tenderloin Community Benefit District
|
With the success of Dodge Place Gardens community events, CCG funds provided funds to purchase outdoor furniture including cafe tables and chairs for a more comfortable activation of the public realm.

With CCG support, Friends of Alemany Farm continued their apprentice program, which produced and distributed 2,281 pounds of free food this past quarter and helped make Alemany Farm the largest producing urban farm in San Francisco!

Sisterhood Gardens Steering Committee
|
Sisterhood Gardens Steering Committee completed their first tile mosaic stairwell, “Together we bloom,” led by artist Kim Jensen on the Ramsell Street steps. It features native and ornamental flora growing at the gardens including California poppies, pipevine, dahlias, and fried egg poppies.

San Francisco Municipal Transit Authority Open Houses
|
There are still a few more SFMTA Open Houses, where you can share feedback on proposed policies and programs: August 14 in District 6, August 20 in District 9, and August 27 in District 5.

San Francisco Arts Commission Chinatown Artist Registry

The San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC) invites artists and artist teams residing in the United States to submit qualifications to the Chinatown Artist Registry to be considered for upcoming public art opportunities in the Chinatown neighborhood of San Francisco.
