At our End of Year Blessing Chapel last week, we read Zechariah 4:6 with parents and students. "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts." Even as we celebrate the work we've done together, we must remind ourselves Who is the ultimate provider for our families and builder of our school. Praise God with us for the work of His Spirit throughout this project.
We have a number of special announcements to share with you this week.
Our annual report is published and linked at the bottom of this newsletter. We are grateful for another year of growth in our students, families, and community, and for your partnership.
We also want to share a big praise that we have been approved by the Executive Loan Committee at Cass Bank. The leader of the committee personally made a site visit to Ambleside, and walked away deeply impressed with our students, education, and community. A big thank you to Lindsey Pintar and Danielle Phippen for the work they put into the underwriting process.
Finally, we have a staffing transition to announce. As we shared on the May 21 Community Call, Cindy Tessler has done excellent work in launching the Campus Campaign this year and will be completing her role with us on Friday, May 31. We are grateful for her tenacity, organizational acumen, relationship-building, and professionalism in these past months. Having successfully built the Campaign from the ground up and met our capital goal, Cindy feels called to remain in Houston, and is moving on toward her long-term personal goal to be a Director of Operations at a non-profit. She is grateful for her time at Ambleside and the opportunity to contribute to something worthy.
Rebecca Borger will be stepping in to fill this position, having trained and prepared to take on development efforts within a broader Director of Community Relations role. Rebecca has been at Ambleside for five years in admissions and communications, and is honored to further contribute to Ambleside's advancement. Prior to her time at Ambleside, Rebecca worked as a grant manager and grant writer for a nonprofit dedicated to youth development and mentoring, as well as volunteering in leadership in her community and church. Rebecca is married to Scott, and they are grateful to have their two children, Wesley and Merritt, growing as students at Ambleside for the past eight years.
As you read below, we welcome your prayers throughout the summer as the project continues.
