11th Street and Canyon Boulevard Stormwater Project:
The City of Boulder will begin the next phase of stormwater system improvements near 11th Street and Canyon Boulevard. This work involves lining the existing storm pipe beneath Canyon Boulevard to extend its lifespan and minimize future disruptions.
This phase follows work completed earlier this summer, prior to the Colorado Department of Transportation’s repaving of Canyon Boulevard. Construction is scheduled to occur on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., beginning in mid-November and continuing through mid-December.
During this period, residents and employees in the area may notice intermittent construction noise and minor traffic impacts. Five parking spaces at the east end of the Penfield Tate II Municipal Building lot will be closed for construction staging; ADA spaces will remain accessible. See the map above for details.
These improvements are part of the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance stream health, improve stormwater infrastructure and reduce long-term roadway disruptions. For additional information, please contact the City Flood Projects team.
15th & Pearl Street Garage Maintenance:
The City of Boulder is working on two important repair projects at the 15th & Pearl Garage. The first addresses emergency repairs to the elevator landings. Construction has begun on Levels 4, 5 and 6 of the north stairwells, where existing concrete landings are being removed and replaced over the coming months. Stair access in this area will be temporarily disrupted during construction.
The second project involves facade restoration, with work beginning to replace the stone facade around the building perimeter.
Parking access is not anticipated to be affected, and pedestrian access to third-floor tenant spaces will be maintained through the main entrances during open hours. As with all construction projects, some noise and dust are expected. We appreciate your patience and understanding as these important repairs are completed.
