Cleveland Legend Ted Ginn, Sr. Awarded Honorary Doctorate
|
A staple in the Cleveland community, Ginn, Sr. has made an impact at Glenville and in the city, recently capturing a second straight OHSAA football championship. His legacy stretches far greater than the football field, including the establishment of Ginn Academy in 2007, an all-boys school for urban youth. Under his leadership, more than 400 student-athletes have attended college while continuing to amass more than $1,000,000 in scholarships annually. Ginn, Sr.’s vision of turning young athletes into leaders has garnered national attention, and he was recently recognized for his achievements during the Greater Cleveland Sports Awards when he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award. Congratulations, Coach Ted!

Viking Clothing Drive Surpasses 1,300 Items

The second annual Vikings Give clothing drive was a smashing success! It ended on December 11 with a preliminary total of 1,300 winter weather items donated. This surpasses last year’s total and will allow us to clothe many more unhoused community members and families. Thank you to all who contributed!
