Solutions to Homelessness Start with You

Homelessness is on the rise in the Bay Area, but this is a crisis with proven solutions—homes and supportive services.
At Tipping Point Community, we’re addressing the need for affordable housing and working to prevent homelessness in a number of ways, from our investments in housing non-profits across the Bay Area to our partnership with the city of San Francisco to reduce the number of people experiencing chronic homelessness. Now, we have launched the All In campaign, rallying San Franciscans to demand more housing in their neighborhoods.
Wherever you live, there are things you can do to advance solutions to homelessness and improve the lives of our community members who need homes:
  1. Be a Good Neighbor. Making eye contact and sharing a smile with a person experiencing homelessness lets them know you care about them. If you’re comfortable, introduce yourself, and get acquainted. The simple act of treating people as people can make a huge difference.
  2. Share the Facts. By countering misinformation and stigma, we can enable our friends and families to make informed choices about how our communities can best provide housing and prevent homelessness.
  3. Turn Empty Units into Homes. Help make homes available where you live.

We Couldn't Do It Without You

Thank You!

This past year, our community raised $40 million to fight poverty. Because our board covers our costs, 100% of every gift goes directly to housing, early childhood, education, and employment interventions in the Bay Area. Thank you for giving to help break the cycle of poverty for tens of thousands of people in our region.
