As we head into the end of the ski season, one of our teammates has a big event on the horizon. If you did not know already, our very own Keri Reid is expecting. We are all very excited and cannot wait to meet the new addition.

With permission from Keri, I thought this was a great opportunity to raise some money for the Gordon Robbins Foundation. This foundation helps to provide funds for staff attending educational PSIA/AASI events.

If you are 100% positive you will be returning to work with us next season, you are welcome to hold onto your uniform or if you do not want to hold onto it yourself, put your washed and dried gear in a bag with your name and employee number on it and we will set aside for you for next season.

We are half-way to a team!  Please join us if you'd like to play softball this summer?  Teams of at least 10 members, at least three of the opposite gender on the field.  Games are on Mondays & Wednesdays evenings June 26 - August 21.  If interested send Diane an email and we'll get a team together!

Whether your team is ramping up for spring break or ramping down for the season – thank you for staying focused on our Be Safe core value. Remember that you are always empowered to STOP [Stop - Think - Options - Power] and speak up about any situation that could be unsafe for you, your teammates, or our guests. And if you do experience an injury at work, make sure to report it immediately to your manager. Knowing about minor injuries as they happen means we can ensure you get the care needed early, before it gets worse. Safety always comes first and we are all responsible for keeping ourselves and each other safe each day.  

We’re proud of the journey that we are on as a company as we push for gender equality in the workplace and in the snowsports industry. At Vail Resorts, nine women run our resorts and women hold nearly 40% of leadership roles at the director level and above. The women who lead our resorts remember a time before this was the case. Nadia Guerriero, Chief Operating Officer of Beaver Creek Resort in Colorado, shared with The Denver Post, “There used to be this time when you were ‘the only.’ It was like there was only room for one. The third annual celebration, A Day for Jake, took place last weekend at Stowe Mountain in Vermont.
