The Freshwater@UW Summer Research Opportunities Program is recruiting students from a wide range of disciplines, including biology, chemistry, ecology, engineering, hydrology, economics, and more. This paid summer program offers immersive, hands-on mentored research experiences and professional development at UW-Madison, UW-Milwaukee, UW-La Crosse, UW-Green Bay, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Platteville, UW-River Falls, UW-Stevens Point or in Manitowoc, WI. Clean Boats, Clean Waters 2026 Summer Internships |
The Clean Boats Clean Waters program is hiring 10 paid summer interns to work in the Vilas County area. Students provide information to boaters about Aquatic Invasive Species prevention; inspect boats, trailers, tow vehicles and related equipment for aquatic invasive species; and upload data to the Wisconsin DNR database. Water Policy and Science Communications Graduate Student Research Fellowship |
The Center for Water Policy at UW-Milwaukee is seeking candidates for a two-year funded Water Policy and Science Communications Graduate Student Research Fellowship. This is a paid fellowship, starting fall 2026 through spring 2028, for a student enrolled in the water policy thesis track master’s degree at UWM’s School of Freshwater Sciences. LAKES REU Summer Opportunities at UW-Stout |
The LAKES REU is recruiting eight students from ANY university to join its 10th cohort June 7-Aug. 8. The REU is funded by the National Science Foundation and the Department of Defense ASSURE program. Housing, stipends, and funds for food will be provided to accepted students. UW-Stout will also provide funding for students to present their research at a national conference in the year following their summer research. Deadline to apply is Feb. 1. Fundamentals of Freshwater, BIOS 125. UW-Parkside. This is a three-credit introductory lecture course. Students from other universities can enroll as a special student.
- Marine Transportation Management, TRSP 325. UW-Superior. This course is an elective for the Transportation & Logistics Management major at UW-Superior. Prerequisite: Admission to the UW-Superior School of Business and Economics.
