Anthony Muscatello
YSU graduate, Anthony Muscatello, is now the Assistant Director for External Relations with the Department of Recreational Sports at Virginia Commonwealth University. As an undergrad at YSU, he obtained a position at Campus Rec planning and executing events. His hard work earned him a spot at a Campus Rec graduate assistant at YSU. In this role, he processed payroll, managed student staff, organized trainings, and worked in facility operations. Through his work at YSU he was introduced to NIRSA, the National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association, and he traveled across the country to present at their conferences. He attributes his job at Campus Rec to helping him find his passion for supporting people, changing his career trajectory, and providing him with lifelong connections. Anthony's advice to students is "Get involved!" He "didn't realize how many opportunities were available to meet new people and engage in extracurricular learning" until his senior year. He encourages everyone to get involved as early in their college careers as possible.
