Spring Break for students starts next week!
Housing: Spring Break begins at the end of Block 6 on Wednesday, Mar. 22. The residence halls will close at noon on Thursday, March 23, and reopen for students at 8 a.m. on Sunday, April 2. All students in campus housing wishing to remain on campus for any portion of Spring Break must complete the form sent out by Housing. There is no additional charge to remain on campus. As a reminder, CC will conduct health and safety room inspections of all residential spaces during the Spring Break time period. This includes all residential halls, small houses, apartments and cottages. Please note there may be a reduced level of services on campus; front desk and food service hours are subject to change and will be shared with students as available. Many non-essential services offices across campus will be closed March 29-31.
Programming: Campus Activities, in conjunction with many partners, offers programming over all block breaks and many extended breaks including Spring Break (for students with extended break stay approval). The Block Break digests are released third week of each block to let students know what is being offered for the upcoming break. Outdoor Ed also offers activities—students are encouraged to keep an eye on the Outdoor Ed Summit page as many of their trips and offerings fill before the Block Break Digest is sent out.
Shuttles: The Colorado College Student Governement Association (CCSGA) will once again sponsor limited free shuttles to both Colorado Springs and Denver International Airports at the start of Spring Break*. Students can sign up at the Worner Desk with their CC Gold Card. Shuttles for the Denver and Colorado Springs airports depart Worner Center at the times listed below.
Wednesday, March 22 1 p.m. – Denver/ 1:30 p.m. – Colorado Springs
Thursday, March 23 7 a.m. – Denver / 7:30 a.m. – Colorado Springs
*Please note: Due to the variety of arrival times, return shuttles are not provided back to campus at the end of breaks. Students are required to arrange their own return transportation.
