New This Week...
Veggies are starting to slowly come out of the grown as the growing season begins. - We have some new items added in addition to Rhubarb and Asparagus.
- Knechtel's Farm has added, White Summer Turnips, Baby Kale and Baby Swiss Chard
- Welcome back to James and Elvina Bauman - They have added Pak Choy, Green and Purple Kale.
- Bowman's Organic Produce has added Leafy Greens and Arugula.

Lettuce Season
Lettuce season is here. It comes twice a year. Now and later in the cooler fall months. There are three varieties available this week. - Red Pablo Lettuce - Very sweet and mild with some bitterness in the ribs
- Green Leaf lettuce - is a natural for salads because it offers a mild flavor and pleasing texture.
- Buttercrunch Lettuce - This extremely popular lettuce has a luscious, buttery texture. The soft heads are creamy yellow inside
- Romaine - is the usual lettuce used in Caesar salad. Romaine lettuce is commonly used in Middle Eastern cuisine. Romaine, like other lettuces, may also be cooked. For example, it can be braised or made into soup
- Red Leaf Lettuce - is similar to romaine lettuce, except it has red-tinged leaves. Lettuce is most often eaten raw in salads, but it can also be braised, steamed, sautéed and even grilled to create a different addition to an entrée or side dish.
