| MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Yongsun Paik, Ph.D.
Hello, I am so excited about releasing this inaugural issue of the LMU CIBE newsletter. First of all, I’d like to thank all of you who have supported our programs and activities in different capacities. Almost two years have passed since LMU was selected to receive this prestigious CIBE grant as the only non-R1 institution for the first time in its 30 year history. In this newsletter, you will find many exciting programs and activities we have organized or sponsored to fulfill our mission to support students, faculty, and the business community.
I believe that international business education is at the crossroad in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. This unprecedented global crisis is forcing us to make a tough decision, retreating to isolationism or improving globalism. It is my sincere hope that LMU CIBE will continue to make contributions to help this country be more competitive in the global market. Please let us know if you have any ideas or suggestions to help us achieve this goal. We will keep you updated about important events, conferences and activities through our newsletters in the future. Thank you again for your continued support and we look forward to working with you!
