First pitch to honor Allan Saxe

The UTA softball team will honor the late Allan Saxe, a longtime UTA professor and Arlington philanthropist, before its conference series against Grand Canyon University on Saturday, April 19. There will be a pre-game ceremony and first pitch by Ruthie Brock, Dr. Saxe’s wife, at 11:45 a.m. at Allan Saxe Field. The game will begin at 12:05 p.m., with gates opening at 11 a.m. The first 150 fans to arrive will receive free candy-filled Easter eggs.

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week
|
Dispatchers are vital to the UTA Police Department’s ability to serve the University community. Ten dispatchers and one communications supervisor staff UTA’s Police Communications Center around the clock to monitor vital systems and ensure a professional line of communication is consistently available.
The UTA Police Communications Center answers and processes approximately 8,000 emergency and non-emergency calls each month. Dispatchers coordinate the response of police and public safety officers, monitor burglar alarms and cameras, and provide valuable information to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
