Check out what's new, Coach!
|
How is it November already? As we grow ever-closer to the end of the first half of the year, we want to remind you to submit your District Dates Form before November 30. For guidance on how to complete this form, which is found in Tabroom.com, please refer to this guide.
Please keep in mind, the national office staff begins auditing the settings of each district tournament approximately ten days before the first scheduled round. So don't delay in entering your settings and schedules! If you have any questions about the District Dates Form or the district tournament series in general, please contact District and Tournament Services Manager, Lauren McCool at lauren.mccool@speechanddebate.org.

NEW Student Leadership Council
|
Later this month, we will announce a new Student Leadership Council to coaches. The idea for the SLC is based on requests from students in the 2021 student membership survey for more leadership opportunities and avenues to contribute to and influence the NSDA. Selected high school student members will provide feedback and recommendations throughout the year to ensure we are meeting students’ needs.
We’re giving you advanced notice because each district has the opportunity to nominate one member student for consideration. Similar to Student of the Year, coaches may submit nominations through a standard online form, which sends a copy to both the national office and the district chair. District winners must be reported by the district chair by March 1, 2023.
This is a unique way to influence the organization’s future and an excellent addition to any student’s resume. We urge your district to participate by spreading the word to coaches and reviewing any nominations you receive.

Implementing a Belonging and Inclusion Station is simple, straightforward, and provides a valuable resource for your tournament attendees.
We invite you to watch the recording of our recent BIS Info Session to learn more about:
