INDIA REGION NEWSLETTER

Dear  Colleague,
A new year has again come around with many challenges and exciting opportunities for the development of membership in the India region and I would take this opportunity to invite you to become involved in the growth of ATMIA in the Indian sub-continent.
The first step has been the approval of a strategic plan for India by the ATMIA Executive and I reproduce the plan for your information;

STRATEGIC PLAN FOR INDIA -2016
PLAN OBJECTIVE
  1. To develop the ATMIA membership footprint in India and the Indian sub-continent through the development of regional boards, committees and marketing of ATMIA, promotion and support to industry bodies.
  2. To create meaningful relationships with legislative, regulatory and government bodies.
  3. To arrange, support and participate in payments industry conferences, workshops, training programmes.
 PLAN IMPLEMENTATION
  1. To attract membership to ATMIA;
  2. Existing ATMIA Members who recommend other companies to join ATMIA will gain congratulatory exposure in our Quarterly Newsletters and on our Regional Home Page
  3. Utilise both ATMIA and regional media to promote membership and knowledge of ATMIA, its aims, objectives and services as outlined in the ATMIA website and other communication channels.
  4. Provide a quarterly newsletter to both ATMIA members and potential members outlining current industry trends, activities and developments both regionally.
  5. ATMIA will maintain the ATMIA Home Regional pages and keep the news and information current and interesting to members; ATMIA will invite members in the region to share their company news, promotions or new business ideas
  6. Identify responsible persons in the following organisations and establish effective communication channels;
    1. Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT)
    2. National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI)
    3. India Banking Association (IBA)
    4. Reserve Bank of India (RBI)
  7. Liaise with media, organisations and associations who market, promote and present conferences, workshops and training and other educational services associated with the payments industry and wherever possible, subject to available financial resources, to participate in such events.

EXTREME ATMs
ATMIA is running a project on Extreme ATMs in the world as part of our plans to celebrate 50 years of ATMs in 2017. Do you have any examples and photos of extreme ATMs in India to add to our story please? We are looking for cases of unusual ATMs or ATMs in remote or difficult locations.
