In previous academic years, these student communities have kicked off the year with an ice cream social, a welcome back dinner, Friday prayers, Hot Halal after Jumah, Halaqas, and so much more in the realm of social programming, spiritual programming, educational programming, and service opportunities. You are cordially invited to observe, learn, experience, explore your spirituality, practice your faith, and be in community.
You can connect with MSA and GMSC at the Spiritual Life Resource Fair on Tuesday, August 23, 12:30-2:30 pm on Cox Hall Bridge (Rain Location: Cannon Chapel). Please also join me for our first Salaat Ul-Jumah on Friday, August 26 at 1:55 pm in the sanctuary of Cannon Chapel. It is followed by a communal celebration over conversation and refreshments.
At the onset of this semester, I wish you well and pray for your success. Please be mindful that the Hijri calendar points to the sacred month of Muharram with all its rites and observances while marking the new Islamic year, 1444 A.H. Feel free to reach out to me at
isam.vaid@emory.edu. Extending a very warm welcome to you!
In peace,
