Welcome to the first edition of the InternationaList! International Student and Scholar Services is excited to offer this new format to keep you updated on upcoming events, immigration tips, and other important announcements. Whether you are a new student, a returning student, or a visiting scholar, we want you to know that you are welcome here!

ISSS is here to support you. Walk-in advising hours will be offered every Monday-Thursday from 3-4:30pm where you can meet briefly with an advisor if you have a quick question. If you have a more complex situation, schedule an appointment with an advisor through the Navigate system.
Your preferred name is important to us. Please let us know what name you would like to be called by submitting our Preferred Name e-form through InterLink (found under Other Student Services).

First day of class for
Fall Semester 2019!

This is always an exciting day, but make sure you know when and where all your classes are. Get your schedule and campus map, and plan out your first week and the semester ahead. As they say, "Well begun is half done."

Mega Fair!

Go to the Rec Quad (rain locations: Rec Center and Goggin Ice Center) and meet with hundreds of student organizations. Get involved!
Mega Fair will run from 6 - 9 pm.

Thursday | August 29, 2019

Uptown Music Festival and Community Picnic

Son Del Caribe will be will be performing high-energy salsa music. This concert takes place uptown during the Annual Community PicnicBoth the picnic and concert  begin at 6:00 PM. Bring your friends and dance on the grass to Son Del Caribe, then enjoy free food, games, and more.
Immigration Tip
Online Enrollment

Due to government rules, only one on-line or distance education course (no more than 3 credits) may be counted toward full-time enrollment.  
  • At least 9 of 12 credits (minimum) of coursework must be taken in person for undergraduate students
  • At least 6 of 9 credits (minimum) of coursework must be taken in person for graduate students 
If you are taking an online course, please be sure your registration meets requirements. If you are not sure, please ask an ISSS advisor and we will help you.
