Interpretive Volunteer Updates

Dear Volunteers,
As one takes a closer look at the plants in the collections at the Gardens, countless questions unfold. How do the fruits of the cacao tree become chocolate? Why do some organisms such as the giant fishtail palm reproduce just once, then die? Do you have any juicy questions that you ponder or that visitors share with you?
We have many wonderful staff to help you explore answer to those questions, such as Plant Records Manager Tory Stewart, Engagement Manager Sarah Sawtelle, or you can stop by the Helen Crocker Russell Library of Horticulture to speak with Library Director Brandy Kuhl or Children's Librarian Sharon Murata who can help you identify research resources. Not to mention the fact that your questions may inspire a future volunteer training, Conservatory Gallery Update, or enrichment session.
