We're looking for a new team member with exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to our mission and values! The Membership Assistant serves as a primary point of contact for current and prospective members of the organization and plays a key role in school renewals and recognition, as well as NSDA district support. This is a remote, full-time position with specific hours.

Interp Source Material Pilot Rules

To further align with our core value of equity, we are piloting new rules regarding what sources for material may be used in Interpretation events, including the removal of the requirement that digital sources must be found on the Approved Websites List. Learn more on page 16 of the Board of Directors meeting minutes.

Free Online Tournament: Register by Monday, November 9

Your team can compete in our NSDA Online Springboard Series, a series of free tournaments hosted by us! Tournament features: 
  • NEW: A middle school division and an open high school division for students of any experience level.
  • Advanced support provided by the NSDA staff who plan the National Tournament, developed NSDA Campus, and bring you Tabroom.com. 
  • Something for everyone with asynchronous speech and live debate. 
Register by November 9 for the tournament on November 14. There is no entry fee: schools and students must be NSDA members to participate. This series is sponsored by The Julia Burke Foundation.

Policy Evidence Updates

Resource Package subscribers can access fresh files on the 2020-2021 Policy topic, Resolved: The United States federal government should enact substantial criminal justice reform in the United States in one or more of the following: forensic science, policing, sentencing. All members can access a starter aff to practice refutation or prepare for competition.

Congress Legislation Templates

Access easy to use legislation templates featuring Word, Pages, and Google Doc versions for bills, resolutions, and Constitutional amendments.

Claim Citations for Your Service Activities

Coaches who perform service for the Association, such as hosting tournaments, writing or presenting about the NSDA, recruiting a new chapter school, or writing an article for Rostrum, may earn service citations that contribute to Don Crabtree Distinguished Service Awards. Citations are submitted via your NSDA Account. Learn more »
