BASC to offer Spring Break field trips

Before and After School Care (BASC) will offer four field trips during Spring Break and will be open all five days.

Space is limited to 22 students and students must be currently enrolled to attend.

Field trips include: Point Defiance Zoo and Aquariam, Tacoma Nature Center, Fort Lewis Military Museum and Pierce College Science Dome.

MVP! MVP! MVP!

The good news just keeps on rolling out of athletics.

Sound Christian High School junior David Mesler was named the SeaTac League co-MVP.

Mesler averaged 11.5 points per game and 9.8 rebounds, while shooting 58 percent from the field.

Mesler helped lead the Lions to their first SeaTac League tournament title in 15 years as well as a trip to the Class 1B state tournament.

Kona Resseau was also honored, being named to the all-league first team. The freshman averaged 12.1 points per game.

Meet new maintenance manager Jacob McGehee

Jacob McGehee is our new Facilities and Maintenance Manager, starting last week.

Jacob has sent three kids through Sound Christian Academy and has a current child in elementary school.

He is a volunteer coach in our basketball programs and all three of his kids played here.

Jacob worked at the Champions Center for five years previously, doing maintenance there as well as at a local company owned by his cousin.

We are so happy to have Jacob on campus and he is already doing a great job.

Tolo dance this Friday!

The SCA Tolo Dance will be held from 6-8 p.m. this Friday in the SCA gym. Tickets are available for high school students at the front office and cost $25. Food will be served and students are encouraged to dress in their favorite 1990s themed attire.

Join us for our next Special Speaker Series!

As part of our ongoing Special Speaker Series, we are hosting Care Net of Puget Sound on Tuesday, March 21 and you are invited.

Care Net of Puget Sound will use content from their Smart Programs Curriculum to facilitate the conversation about Relationship Do's and Don'ts.

There will be sessions for Middle School and High School during chapel that day, while there will be a session for parents from 6-7 p.m. in the Worship Center.

Our annual Grandparents Assembly will be from 9-10am on Tuesday, March 28 and you won't want to miss it.

There will be photo booths and snacks provided afterward. Flyers will be going home with elementary students soon to hand out to the patriarchs and matriarchs of your families.
