Do you need easy, inexpensive ways to promote your business, services, or community events? Then join us March 12 for a free, one-evening course on social media marketing.
As an Alumni Association member, you’re eligible to attend this free Continuing Education course, 6:30–8:30 pm Thursday, March 12, at the Rockville Campus.

Presented by the College’s Workforce Development and Continuing Education division, this course is offered free — and exclusively — as a benefit to Association members. Parking is available on site. It’s a great way to learn how to leverage your existing social connections to serve your favorite cause.

To register, please click here to email your name and Alumni Association ID (M-number) to the Alumni Office. As part of our course planning, you’ll have an opportunity to participate in a pre-course survey of social media practices.

Attendance is limited, as this will be a hands-on course in a computer lab. Register early to ensure your seat!

For information, email the Alumni Office, or phone 240-567-5378.
Save the date for Dogfishing 2020

Save the Date for #dogfishing4MC:

Tuesday, May 12

Mark your calendar now and plan to join us on Tuesday, May 12, at Gaithersburg’s Dogfish Head Alehouse to help the Alumni Association raise money for Montgomery College scholarships.

It's the easiest way to help some great MC students! A portion of ALL of the day's sales (drinks, food, gear, you name it) goes to our scholarship fund, to help deserving local students. No flyers or coupons needed — just show up and have a great time!

We'll also have a silent auction for some great gifts, and we're offering a 50/50 raffle for a little extra to help our students. If you’d like to buy your raffle tickets early, email alumni@montgomerycollege.edu.

Maryland Cyber Challenege

Annual Giving Office Supports First Collegewide Crowdfunding Appeal

Montgomery College annually hosts a cyber competition for Montgomery County public high school students and another for Maryland community colleges.  This year, the Annual Giving office is taking a cyber approach to help offset program costs.

The High School Forensic Challenge brings area high school students to the Germantown Campus for a full-day cyber challenge. The Community College event brings students from community colleges across the state for a capture-the-flag style cyber challenge.

The College is using a crowdfunding event to offset the cost of refreshments and prizes.  Funds raised will be used for meals, refreshments, and handouts to participants, and prizes for the top finishers.

To participate in the online crowdfunding, visit app.mobilecause.com/vf/Roundy. Donations are tax-deductible and made to the Montgomery College Foundation. Supporters wishing to view the event in person may email the Cybersecurity Program Manager, or phone 240-567-2144.
