Dear Friend,
I’ve been bingeing on Netflix’s show Evil, which is creepy, funny, and deep all at the same time. The show’s premise investigates our supernatural, spiritual, and scientific beliefs around ‘demonic’ happenings. I just watched an episode where Ben, one of the main characters and an analytical, methodical thinker, attends a meeting of the Super Secret Science League, an underground gathering of nerds who practice a wacky, hipster version of science.
Like Ben, I appreciate the rationality of science - in these times more than ever. My hope is to help people understand scientific concepts more clearly with visual thinking.
Especially for complex scientific content which often contains wordy, somewhat abstract processes, visual summaries are able to reach a wide audience by compressing explanations into a single concrete, clarifying image, often in a way that lengthy and lifeless text cannot.
Therefore, in the spirit of the Super Secret Science League, here’s some of my recent, not-so-secret work.
(and - who else is hooked on Evil??)
